The Okanagan offers great year round fishing, with a variety of species available at different times of the year.

 

Bass (allowable keep-4- small mouth and large mouth combined) - Year Round- Jaw extends to middle of eye, three short spines on anal fin.

Black Crappie- (allowable keep - 20) April- October – Mouth extends to front edge of pupil.

Trout - Year Round - allowable keep - Trout/Char: 5; but not more than:

a.    1 over 50cm

b.    4 from streams (only 2 over 30cm)

c.    And you must release: Bull Trout (Dolly Varden) from streams

 

Rainbow Trout- Small Black Spots mostly restricted to above the lateral line

 Carp- Year Round – “whiskers” beside mouth

Sockeye - July – September - Large Scales, small black speckles on back, no spots on tail.
